Project Details

  • Client: Wakefield Hospice Council

  • Status: Complete

  • Value: £330,000.00

  • Duration: 15 weeks

This project entailed the construction of two new external extensions to create a relaxation room and a toilet block.  The works also involved internal dismantling and alteration works, taking down existing walls and partitions and re-building new walls and re-ordering to form a new layout.

Due to the nature of the building, the work had to be carried out with a very sympathetic approach to avoid disruption to the Client and upset to residents and visitors.  As part of the project canopies, external works and landscaping were included to increase the ambient level for patients by allowing their beds to be taken into the garden during fair weather.
