Formation of New Laboratory Accommodation
Astbury Biostructure Laboratory
Client: University of Leeds
Duration: 29 weeks
The nature of this project was the remodelling and refurbishment of a listed building of a predominantly concrete structure over several floors, including some high level roof works.
The aim of the scheme was the creation of new laboratories, an electron microscopy laboratory, freezing room, tissue culture room, preparation areas, control room, corridors and plant rooms. Two Titan Krios cryo transmission electron microscopes were installed which will allow the University to stay at the forefront of structural biology research.
